Liberian chief executive said he is hopeful that the Bi Centinal Celebration will bring Liberians together and strengthen National Unity in the midst of diversity.

President George Weah said Unity and reconciliation are the cornerstones to ensuring the development of Liberia.
Weah wants Liberians to hold together as it is the only way they will trigger all forms of discrimination in the Liberian society.
He is however calling on citizens to redouble their effort towards national Unity and reconciliation for the rebuilding process of the country.
President Weah was speaking over the weekend when he officially starts the Bi Centinal Celebration on the Providence in Monrovia.

At the same time, the chairman of the subcommittee on History says a more concrete display of national identity will continue to be Sean as the year long celebration of the Bi Centinal progresses.

Dr. William Allen noted that it is important to celebrate the return of free slaves and worth pay homage to people who were met of the land called Liberia.

Dr. Allen however wants Liberians to preserve Liberia’s identity.
He said Liberians should embrace and cherish the Bi Centinal as a moment to reflect on the beginning of statehood.
The history professor spoke on the weekend during the official commencement of the Bi Centinal Celebration at Providence Island in Monrovia.
Still at the Bi Centinal, the city government of Monrovia has spoken of pride and dignity being brought to the city admit the Bi Centinal Celebration in the country.
Mayor Jefferson Koijee asserted that the year long celebration is the beginning of reconciliation and unification in Liberia which he said the CDC led government is committed to.
Mayor Koijee spoke over the weekend when he officially welcome Liberians and members of the diplomatic court to the start of the Bi Centinal Celebration in Monrovia.
